Strawbell Bike on Rent (“Strawbell”, “we”, “us”)
runs bike and scooty rentals, caravan trips and adventure activities from
C/o Gupta Crockery, Old 547, New 679, Bankhandi, Hiralal Marg, Rishikesh, Distt. Dehradun, Uttarakhand 249201. This page explains what
personal information we take from you, why we need it and how long we keep it.
We are a small local business, not an online marketplace. Almost everything we know
about you comes from a phone call, a WhatsApp message or the paperwork at pickup
— not from tracking you around the internet.

Information You Give Us
When you enquire or book, we take only what is needed to hold the
booking and hand over a vehicle or a slot:
Your name, phone number and, if you send one, your email address.
The content of your WhatsApp messages, calls and emails with us — dates,
group size, vehicle or activity preference.
Booking details: dates, duration, pickup and drop points, and the amount paid.
At pickup for a vehicle: your original driving licence and one government
photo ID (Aadhaar, passport, voter ID or PAN). We keep a copy.
For adventure activities and camping: the age and, where the operator requires
it, the approximate weight of each participant.

Information Collected Automatically
This website does not run any analytics or advertising scripts, and it does not
set marketing cookies of its own.
Two third-party services do load on some pages, and each sets its own cookies
under its own policy: Google Fonts, which serves the typeface, and the Google
Maps embed on the contact page. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server
logs (IP address, browser, time of request) for security and troubleshooting.

Why We Need It
To confirm your booking and call you back about it.
To verify age, address and eligibility, which we are required to do before
handing over a vehicle.
To meet the age and weight requirements set by our activity operators, which
exist for safety reasons.
To handle a security deposit, a damage claim or a refund if one comes up.
To keep records our accountant or a government authority may ask for.
We do not use your number to send marketing blasts. If we message you,
it is about a booking you made or an enquiry you started.

Your ID and Licence Copies
Renting out a vehicle means we have to verify who is riding it. We keep
a copy of your licence and one photo ID for that reason only.
Copies are kept with the booking record and are not uploaded to this website.
They are never shared with anyone except where the law requires it — for
example a police enquiry after an accident or theft.
You can ask us to destroy the copy once the rental is closed, the vehicle is
back and the deposit is returned.

Payments
This website does not take payments. There is no card form and no
payment gateway on any page here. Payment happens in person at the store
or through a UPI transfer you make yourself, so your card, bank or UPI
credentials never pass through us.

Who We Share It With
We do not sell your data, and we do not trade it for leads. It is shared
only where a booking cannot happen without it:
Activity and campsite operators, who receive the name, participant count, date
and any age or weight the activity requires — nothing else.
Our accountant, for tax and record-keeping.
A government authority, court or the police, where we are legally required to
hand something over.

How Long We Keep It
Enquiries that never turn into a booking are cleared out once the season ends.
Booking records and ID copies are kept for as long as our accounting and legal
obligations require, and then destroyed.
WhatsApp conversations stay on the phone until they are deleted; you can delete
your side at any time.
Ask us to delete your details, where we are not required to keep them.
Tell us to stop contacting you.
Please give us a few days — we handle these by hand, not through
an automated system.

Children
Our services are booked by adults. Children travel and take part under
the booking made by a parent or guardian, and any information about a
child — age for activity eligibility, for instance — comes to
us from that adult. We do not knowingly collect information directly
from a child.

Changes to This Policy
If what we collect or how we use it changes, we will update this page and
change the date at the top. Material changes will also be reflected on
the pages they affect.
